Overview

Displays HDTV programs in full 1920 x 1080p resolution for a more detailed picture.Unlike other sensors which can only sense brightness of ambient light, LG's "Intelligent Sensor" uses 4,096 sensing steps to evaluate its surroundings. Using a sophisticated algorithm, the LG processes picture quality elements including brightness, contrast, color, sharpness and white balance. The result is a picture optimized for it's surroundings, more pleasing to watch and which can also save up to 50% in power consumption.The AV Mode optimizes the picture into Cinema, Sports, and game Mode according to the video and audio content. The viewer has the ability to quickly choose the correct mode for the picture they are viewing.Automatically enhances and amplifies the sound of human voice frequency range to help keep dialog audible when background noise swells.This TV contains the detailed calibrations necessary for professional certification by the Imaging Science Foundation. The resulting ISF "day" and "night" modes will then be accessible by the user to experience the best their LG HDTV has to offer.

Great bang for the buck
I bought this (steady now) to be the neighborhood's biggest photo frame. I know... It's decadent. But remember, this is Texas and everything is bigger. I'm a professional photographer and don't get to see all the thousands of images I shoot every year except in newsprint or magazines or websites - none of which really does them justice.
Right now my LG 37" TV is cycling through a Metallica series I shot at Ozzfest this year and it's gorgeous. I was looking for a unit that had a memory .... Read more

Takes a little while to smooth out
After 3 years my Plasma died. I was able to put this lcd on the same mount and it looks less obtrusive and is much lighter. It takes a little while for the picture to look less pixilated. I do not have the HDMI connector, since I have nothing that has that type of output, but with RGB components and digital cable it looks much richer than the plasma, and it doesn't get as hot.

had to exchange
I never had a chance with this tv because the box was damage upon arrival so I refused shipment. The seller was out of stock of this model so I exchanged it over the phone through customer service for a Samsung A450 42" plasma for the exact same price. 42 inches are better than 37 inches, it is a real nice tv I'm glad I made the exchange. I had no problems with customer service they were real helpful and professional despite some of the bad reviews that are posted against Datavis.com .... Read more
