Overview

Displays HDTV programs in full 1920 x 1080p resolution for a more detailed picture.Unlike other sensors which can only sense brightness of ambient light, LG's "Intelligent Sensor" uses 4,096 sensing steps to evaluate its surroundings. Using a sophisticated algorithm, the LG processes picture quality elements including brightness, contrast, color, sharpness and white balance. The result is a picture optimized for it's surroundings, more pleasing to watch and which can also save up to 50% in power consumption.The AV Mode optimizes the picture into Cinema, Sports, and game Mode according to the video and audio content. The viewer has the ability to quickly choose the correct mode for the picture they are viewing.Automatically enhances and amplifies the sound of human voice frequency range to help keep dialog audible when background noise swells.This TV contains the detailed calibrations necessary for professional certification by the Imaging Science Foundation. The resulting ISF "day" and "night" modes will then be accessible by the user to experience the best their LG HDTV has to offer.

About as close to great as you can get
We've had this TV for two weeks, and it is fantastic. Once I got the settings fixed up for our room, the HD picture is amazing. SD leaves a lot to be desired (BBC America looks like a full-screen YouTube Video), but from what I understand (and what I've seen) SD looks pretty crap on any HD TV. The HD Channels, our Upscaling DVD Player, and the XBOX 360 via Component cables all look phenomenal.

The sound is pretty good, if a bit quiet on many channels. But, there is an Audio Out .... Read more

BRILLIANT PICTURE, SLEEK DESIGN, SOUND COULD BE BETTER
We purchased this TV about a month ago and I am very satisfied. The picture is awesome to say the least. I love the LG brand because their product seems to be top of the line. This TV pretty much has it all. I only have one complaint and it is with LCD TV's in general. The sound is good but it doesn't get very loud. Excellent Purchase
Bought this TV and have had it just under 1 month. Set up was incredibly easy. TV was light weight and manageable as compared to other flat pannel tvs I have owned. We have this TV & liked it so much that we got the 32" in this model for our bedroom. We use the TV for gaming, television & watching DVD & Blu-Rays. The picture is great but the volume could be better. The volume goes from 1-100 & most of the time we have it up to about 70 or so & you'd think it would be pretty loud at that # but it's not. There are times we want it louder but are afraid we're going to blow the speakers or something. Even at 100 it would not be loud enough sometimes. The .... Read more

By far this is the best purchase that I ever made, crystal clear picture, lifelike and the most amazing. Hooked it up on my Comcast DVR, got all the HD Channels I could get, and walla, instant Cinema experience. Together with my Bose Hometheatre Sys, I could not ask for anything more.
