Believe the Hype - its that good!!!
Picture is just incredible. The only thing that I don't like is that when changing HD channels it takes several seconds to lock on to the signal when resolution changes (ie. going from 720p to 1080i, an back etc)- so surfing can be slow. However I don't believe that this is the TV fault but a function of the HDMI handshake needed for DRM ( I HATE DRM!). Even with this small annoyance I just can't imagine a better picture. So may controls and adjustments you can really fine tune white balance .... Read more

Great Bang for your Buck
Let me tell y'all a charactoristic about me. I on many things am very brand loyal.(cars, electronics, whatever) Anyways I've never really been a Samsung fan even though I never thought they bad products or I hated them or anything, they just weren't my brand. I've always been kind of a Sony person,(which I still like Sony produces a lot) and months ago when I started look at getting a new HDTV, and looking at them in the stores, and studying up on them I kind of narrow my choses down to either a .... An Outstanding Television
I've been doing a lot of research on televisions the last couple of months. I have looked at Plasmas and LCD's. I previously had a 55" Sony Wega LCD Projection which I really liked and had a great picture. I was actually afraid that this wouldn't match it. I was wrong. This blows it out of the water. Comcast HD looks fantastic on it. The black levels are incredible. My 1st BluRay on it was "The Dark Knight". It was stunning. I've heard of geomoetry issues and a few other problems on the .... I love this television!!
I had been looking at it for almost a year now. Finally decided to buy it for myself for Christmas. Couldn't be happier with it. Looks good on the cabinet. Fantastic Picture. As with other reviewers I wish the sound was better. But I run movies through the surround sound system and it's fine. Upconverted movies look almost identical to HD Pictures. Very happy with my purchase! .... Read more

Best bang for the buck!
The best things about this TV are the brightness and clarity. I was using a 4 year old Sony 57" tube type rear projection HDTV. Moving to the HL61A750 was the different between night and day. The picture quality is amazing. I am using a DirecTV DVR, Toshiba HD-DVD player and the Playstation 3. All look fantastic on the HL61A750. Setting the PS3 to full 1080p output yields crystal clear definition especially when playing games. On top of that, ambient light in the room is no longer a factor. The .... Read more
